It's that time of year again - the Bengals vs. Steelers rivalry game. At TiER1, we celebrate with a little friendly competition to see who has the best chili.
Employees entered their best chili recipes to see whose is the best.
We have judges taste each one and decide which concoction is their favorite.
The winners get to brag about their chili-making skills for the rest of the year.
This year, the Chorizo Chili won in the Covington office and the Turkey-Free Turkey Chili won in Pittsburgh (yes, we are all wondering what is really in there).

One of the many wonderful things about TiER1 is the company’s attention given to the broader community. There are so many possibilities when considering how one might give back to the community whether at a global, national, regional, or individual level.

TiER1 is partnering with Walking Warriors to help the fight against Breast Cancer with Walk & Rock 2011! Join us tonight at Molly Malones in Covington from 5-9 pm for some free appetizers, live music, a silent auction and lots of fun with your friends!
There is a $5 suggested donation at the door. The money raised supports five key areas in the fight against breast cancer:
- Medical research
- Access to treatment
- Screening and diagnosis
- Support services
- Education and awareness

As meeting facilitators and trainers, we’re taught to engage the audience. We use the Socratic Method, move around the room, and scan students’ faces to get feedback on how we’re doing. We can tell if we are going too fast, too slow, and whether our attendees have stopped paying attention.
But what about virtual meetings? Simple things like reading a quizzical look on the face of a student or gauging the overall energy in the room become much more difficult. We’ve probably all “multitasked” on a conference call (which is really just a euphemism for not paying attention),...
